Ah Ballou.... he's improveing in leeps and bounds and now that hi wing feathers are fully in (he was clipped when we got him) we've began "flight lessons" and harness training.... and he adores showing off how pretty his wings are.

With the addition of the Cockatoo to the family, Ballou and I have been getting much closer (possibly due to our mutual distrust of the other bird). He's still not as affectionate with me as he is with mom and dad but I can pet him now and he comes to me when I call him.

The painting in the background is "The Hallway" painted by my mother when she was in college. Yeah... now you know where I got my art talent.

Hello, my name is Kylie, and I was wondering if you might check out and maybe join a bird fourm that I am promoting. It is based out of Australia, but there are people on there from the U.S. as well. Also, it says "teen" but its open for all ages. But it would be awesome if you would check us out. It's always fun when we have people on there with birds that not many people know about or have.

Actually yes though right now he's feeling akward about it. He's in a molt so his tail is shorter then normal. Macaw's have something like 10 feathers in their tails when in full plumage and their tails can reach 2 feet long. Right now he only has 5. It's throwing his balance off some, but you can see the new feathers growing in all ready so he'll be fine.

Oh he gets out a lot, just not outside of the house... he's also an escape artist. We've had to put chains one every door on his cage cause he kept figuring out how to open the latches.

Wow, he's beautiful :aww: I've always wanted one of those big parrots, but I'm happy with my lil' budgie :D They're wonderful creatures, birds. And Ballou goes so well with your mother's painting, hehe!

Nothing wrong with budgies. I had to for seven years before they passed on from old age. They are great little birds.

And yes, thus the title of the picture. ^_^
